Industrial pilot

Scaling to a pilot facility producing hundreds of kilos of product to engage major aquafeed, cosmetics and nutraceutical ingredient producers.

Stable production at record yields

Continuous, stable Artemia production established in the new mobile lab, with record yields per tank — the operational baseline for industrial scale-up.

Mobile pilot deployed, feedstock library expanded

Smart control unit deployed at Boortmalt for first on-site feedstock validation. Artemia growth proven across whisky pot ale, rice bran, brewing sidestreams and dairy by-products.

First 10 L systems

R&D facility live at Heriot-Watt's Lyell Centre. First Artemia cohorts grown on whisky-malt sidestreams at bench scale.

Aquanzo was founded in 2022 by Stefanie Lobnig and Dr. Rémi Gratacap with a single question:

What if we could make more marine ingredients without harming the ocean?

Since then, we’ve moved from 10 L benchtop systems to industrially-relevant scale, and from one feedstock to a validated library across dairy, whisky and agri sidestreams.
